Our senior dining program provides delivered fresh-made, frozen meals and bulk meals to group dining sites that meet Title III nutrition requirements. We currently serve Meals on Wheels locations throughout the Twin Cities metro as well as Ramsey County, Volunteers of America, Community Action Partnership and Community Emergency Assistance Program group dining sites.

In developing menus, it is our goal to maximize the nutritional value of the food we serve. We offer a large variety of whole grains, vegetables and fruits that provide the energy, protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber that are required for good health. We develop menus that have moderate sugar, salt and sodium levels and minimal levels of fat, saturated fat and cholesterol. Lancer only uses cooking oils that are trans-fat free and no salt is added during meal preparation.

We always provide low salt entrée alternatives when appropriate, reduced carbohydrate options for diabetes and are happy to accommodate other special diets as requested. We are also skilled in providing an ethnically diverse menu and options for all tastes.

For our frozen meal program, we make the right diet choices easy by clearly labeling heart-healthy, diabetic, renal, and vegetarian diet options. Gluten Free and texture-modified meals are also available. Lancer Dining Services’ chef-created and dietitian-approved menus, with over 60 different meals, will please everyone.
